Fossas are Carnivores, they only eat meat. They eat an assorted amount of animals, including lemurs, tenrecs, bush pigs, mice, reptiles, eggs, snakes, insects, and birds. They usually would have plenty of prey because the fossa is the largest predator in Madagascar, but now there is a lack of forest, so that means less habitat for them and other animals, and they are forced to prey domestic fowl in order to survive.
